Yup it's just me. I'll keep myself busy in the mean time.

Hi guys. First off, I was wanted to say congratulations to all who got contacted. You rock!
I have a few questions as I got contacted too and I want to have everything ready for my interview. I planned my interview a week out just to make sure that I had copies of all the documents that they needed. They couldn’t stress anymore how they didn’t make copies on site.
At the time when I filed my application I was single and since then I have gotten married(this last June). My husband and I are not living together( still live with my parents). I wanted to know what would I need to take to my appointment to show that we are not living together? I was thinking about a notarized letter but I read that would’nt be enough. I pretty much have everything prepared that they asked for, I.e pay stubs, w2, tax papers for last 2 years, bank statements, school letter, birth certificate, letter from my parents(their lease and utility bills),court documents for child support payments, copy of id, SSN. I even went as far at getting a verification letter of employment.
I would appreciate all the help. I just want to make sure that I have everything set and ready to go. Also should I bring a copy of my marriage certificate or that would’nt be needed since I’m not applying with my husband.
Thx.

Firstly, congratulations on your union! This is a good question. I honestly think that a notarized letter from your parents stating that you live with them and your living situation is separate from your spouse is more than enough. I can't imagine how else you will prove it. I know a lot of people who are married and not living together. Regardless if its because they just got married or they're about to get a divorce. I also know married couples who live in apartments next door to one another. To each their own but in your case I think a letter from your parents is more than enough since you are living with them still and they can attest that you are indeed living separately from your husband. But i would suggest when you interview, not to talk too much because if they think he will move in, they will be inclined to ask for his documents as well. i would hate for you to loose your chance at the apartment because his gross income combined with yours will disqualify you (IF that could be the case.) just state that you're married but living separate...end of story

I say bring the certificate. It will only be beneficial if you were trying to ADD him to your application, but idk what the penalty is if you don't disclose and they find out. Better safe than sorry.

Thank you so much for responding. I appreciate it. I definitely will bring a copy of the marriage certificate just in case they need it. We’re not planning to live together. Lol. Keep you fingers X for me. I’m praying that all goes well.

Yeah, I gave them what they needed. Just keep checking everyday if your money order has been used. Remember, no news before 2 weeks is good news lol
