Maybe it should have been a red flag that a Chelsea apartment was only going for $90 a night!

https://www.nbcnewyork.com/news/loca...FlowFB_NYBrand

Boston resident Rachel Valerio thought her $90-a-night Airbnb apartment in New York City was a good deal until she realized she had booked an apartment in a New York City Housing Authority complex.
Valerio tells The New York Times that the apartment was highly rated on Airbnb but it smelled like gas and there was a roach trap next to the bed.
On the plus side, the apartment in the Housing Authority's Fulton Houses was next door to the High Line and Chelsea Market.
Subletting a government-subsidized apartment is illegal but it does occasionally happen. The Times reports that an Airbnb listing appeared last week for a "charming, private apartment" at the Queensbridge Houses in Queens.

Of course it shouldn't have to be said, but if I don't say it, ppl will think I see nothing wrong with it, so for the record, NYCHA tenants should not be advertising on AirBnB and AirBnB shouldn't have let the listing be posted.

But I would have liked to see the listing, these ppl couldn't tell it was a project apartment from the photos?

The woman who rented the NYCHA apartment said she grew up poor in the article

Boston has plenty of projects too, so I'm just saying, even if she aint grow up in one she had to know what one is

Maybe fake photos posted.
