Once you submit documents what happens next? Do they tell you you're approved and assign an apt to you? Or is there another approval?

The eligibility interview is the first step and that’s when they ask you for all of your documents so that the management company can approve you. This is when they run your credit and go over everything to make sure you’ll be eligible for city approval. They send off files to the city (hpd) in log/ preference order so after your interview it may take MONTHS for you to hear back from them but once you do you’ll have to submit updated paystubs, and bank statements to make sure your income and assets haven’t changed. You will also have to sign new information release papers because they expire after 30 days. Hope this helps.

Thank you! So i passed the eligibility interview. I guess I'm waiting for City approval. During my document request interview someone did mention that they have a deadline to fill the building... hopefully, the city approval will not take as long.

Hey what apartment size did you get approved for? Was it a 2 bedroom for 1591? Or a different size and amount?

I called HPD today. A lady who answered the phone told me she just received my file yesterday.
The file marketing management sent was totally wrong.
They need to ask them resubmit again.

So, i called today and they said they did not received anything for CH and they are receiving a lot of calls, they said property management still reviewing leasing files and that can take quite some time.

Leasing files? I have yet to sign the TIC documents ... Why can't they give us an update
