...remember for 2BRs, in 2014 300 names were picked out and placed on the external waiting list. i can only assume 300 more were picked out this go round.
I read on a news article that it was 250 two bedrooms for 2019.
I know someone who has a bachelors in accounting. She makes slightly more than minimum wage. She is pissed that she got the degree.
What kind of work is she doing? She could apply to work an entry level job for NYS which would pay way more than minimum wage. This listing doesn’t show the salary but other sites indicate it starts over $50,000.
If you are asking from a ROI perspective, as someone who is a HR professional, I will tell you that the school you get your accounting degree will not matter to most employers. The key is to secure some accounting experience (internships, part time job, etc) so that you have practical experience on your resume once you graduate college.
As far as the position on the waiting list: Remember that the internal people can be "fussy." They can say they want a certain building, for instance, or a balcony. I don't know exactly how picky they can be. I mean, can they specify a north-facing unit certain building? Whatever the case, they may be waiting a long time for what they want, and 2019 people will skip over them.
Others on the waiting list will not be able to get their finances in order in time, even though the down payment has been changed to 25%, or they may change their minds about moving in, etc.
One person on the 2014 list said she was shocked that she was called to look at apartments when her number was 300! So I'm thinking that the list may move faster than anticipated. We shall see!
