all the studios were alcove.. the 2 i viewed were actually bigger than the N line 1 bd rooms. Im not sure what line the studio layouts were though. Separate kitchens.. 1 had a en-suite bathroom, and the living area was a nice size. Id say about 550-610 sqft.
Ugh, the N line 1 B/R’s are the SMALLEST. C is the best, no idea if it’s part of the lottery.
Thanks all! and good luck to everyone! Most of the apartments have some sort of view to water.
I feel lucky to have received a low log number, but now im weighing the cost effectiveness of hiring movers.. breaking my lease (there may be a fee apparently, difficult landlord)
Probably will feel more like a win in the long run! + im paying $3k per month on rent right now for a studio with view of a brick wall..insane!! I cant afford it either... so this will be a bit of a relief...
Yes, it's a win win for you in the long run, the building looks gorgeous and just in the water.
My only concern is how safe the walk to the closest subway station is, particularly at night when coming back from work.
You're a walk from the Greenpoint G. I live in a different part of Greenpoint, but it's a very safe area, and I'm saying this as someone who regularly returns home from work at 2, even 3 or 4 AM
