how's the building but also how did you feel in the area? I go through penn station and work nearby and I've found it pretty rough, but being able to walk to work might outweigh that
Yeah the neighborhood definitely kinda sucks in my opinion. The building felt like an oasis. It's close to Pizza Suprema and Whole Foods so that's nice. It was nice being close to the LIRR for my commute. But yeah, overall, it's not a welcoming neighborhood.
the building itself is crazy super nice and the staff is great, too.
Is it easy to hear the neighbors while inside your unit? Any odors wafted easily inside? I read in the google reviews that some tenants complain of different smells.

How does waitlist work? Are they going through the people who previously applied on the one that opened a few years ago first? Are these different units from before as well And then after they go through those people then it's whoever applies to this one? I'm very confused on this.

When a waitlist is opened they are not going through the original list of applicants. At least from my experience.
I applied to a place years ago then saw a waitlist for that same buildings on HC. They hadn’t even reached my log number yet because I wasn’t contacted yet they started a whole new waitlist for it
I guess so. usually those on YT are MR because it's like an advertisement. Some buildings offer affordable units exactly the same as MR ones.
In my building, the affordable units are exactly the same in both layout & appliances as the MR ones. They are also spread throughout the floors & some even have balcony.

Is this a market rate apartment because that unit is too fabulous and huge to be an affordable one?
