Not surprising from a person more than likely using some form of public assistance. Sweetheart, if it weren't for the allegedly annoying "overly ambitious" there wouldn't be funds to support the useless existence poor/lazy folks take upon themselves.

Really? What kind of infrastructure does it take to support yuppies? NJ has plenty of bars with overpriced drinks... what more do you need?

bedsty which amazingly shot up bobs friends and family rent....from where it was 750 for a one bedroom apt...to now is 1,000 smackers...this promotes a problem for bob and now bob might go back to jail...cuz he can't afford to live....
So why did "Bob" go to jail in the first place? Was it the yuppies' fault back then, too?

There was a small yuppie enclave in the area in 2000, so "Bob" explained to "Tyrone" in jail: The yuppies made me do it, you know "Ty" they finally forced me to this horrendous act. But trust "Ty" I'm a changed man now.

So does Stamford CT, South Norwalk CT and now White Plains NY. Most of those bars & other 'chi chi' establishments are way overrated and feel very unwelcoming to those who fit the cookie cutter stereotype of these yuppies.

You pretty much said it, in that one sentence.

Default Why do people hate the YUPPIES

They hate them because they wish they were them. (deep down and secretly)

They hate them because the yuppies are viewed as a threat to them as they fear, they would get priced out of their rent stabilized apts. and lose their entitlements of so called "affordable housing". They rather keep the neighborhood ghetto than to improve it by allowing yuppies to move in. SMH
