I agree with the posters thoughts on the subway. I get on the 456 train every day, and ask myself who the f would choose this way to live, like and amongst rats. Unfortunately, I don't make enough money to not take the subway, but too much to pick up and move somewhere civilized.

Well this has definitely been an entertaining 7 pages to read. Couldn't this rant have been written on Twitter and been done with and moved on by now?

You're a funny one as well. It's called public transportation, bucko. Those rats, despite how they behave are human beings. If you don't want to even be in the same air space as them move to a suburb and take a commuter train. What the heck do you expect for a less than 3 dollar ride?? I took the subway because it was cheap and convenient even though I had the option of an express bus.

I don't have a subway where I live now and that is one of the things I miss about NYC.

The rats are not human beings; the rats are actually rats!

If you are offended by the train, you must be APPALLED by Soho (where you claim to live) on the weekend. I would rather lick the subway poll than walk down Broadway south of Prince on a Saturday.

Interesting, my nickname is actually 'subway'...

Man, will you guys quit it with the fear mongering please?

He's still not gonna elected.
Wouldn't Lhota rather market how great the subway is?

The New York City subway is fine. It works as intended and delivers a speedy, usually efficient, no-frills service.

I would say it is over-performing compared to its level of funding.

This thread wouldn't be half as funny if everything the op said wasn't so painfully true
