It's a possibility. DCAS (Department of Citywide Administrative Services) handles the background check for DSNY as well as FDNY & NYPD. It's the same 20 page booklet that you fill out for all of them.
i dunno about that...i know for NYPD they have their own investigators that are not DCAS employees...the only thing DCAS handles is the entrance exam....correct me if im wrong.
I had a raw score of 96.25, and I put in the appeal for the 5 residency points. I took the physical in mid december pending appeal, but I have not received a new list number yet, or even a updated score of 101.25. I tried calling DCAS, but I can't talk to a live person. Any recommendations on what I should do now? I don't want to wait until the new list comes out and find out that I'm still in the 7500's on the list.
They will post it on the website after the list comes out but you won't see anything on it for at least another month or so until they start calling people off the 6063 list. nyc.gov/sanitation

i can't be positve on it but what I do know is that when i filled out my 20 page booklet for the background check, it had certain criteria that only pertained to NYPD positions.
I HAVE A LIST NUMBER AROUN 570... I GOT A 103.75.... HOW SOON MIGHT I BE CALLED?.....ALSO I WAS ARRESTED WHEN I WAS YOUNGER FOR AN ASSAULT, BUT THE CASE WAS DISMISSED ( IT WAS SELF DEFENSE) SO I NEVER GOT CHARGED WITH ANYTHING AT ALL,.. DO I HAVE TO TELL THEM THIS, OR IS THAT NOT ON ANY RECORD?
