Though it's up for debate as to whether those projects are actually in Bushwick, since they're on the wrong side of Flushing Avenue.

You're right: the Bushwick PJs are actually in Williamsburg, but Bushwick still has a couple of PJs though.

According to Wiki, Bed-Stuy has a population of 153,000. It is a very large geographic area. Within Bed-Stuy are some of the finest blocks in New York City, and some of the worst blocks in New York City. Some sections are safe, and some sections aren't.

Before you just bash the entire neighborhood, can you comment on this particular Bed-Stuy block?

According to the NYC crime map there were a handful of grand larcenies, about the same number of burglaries and robberies, and a couple of rapes. This all in just Q1 2014. All within a very short radius of that specific location (maybe a block at most). Expand five blocks or so and the stats can get pretty scary (if the stated isn't enough on its own).
