Can't find the article that I read smh but hear is one link that briefly mentions something about state and local aid it's more about the stimulus but u can see they are starting to change their tunes about certain things even Mitch McConnell. Not to mention it's election season and everybody wants to look good lol
Silive reports that a 1600 person headcount reduction from every city agency is part of this new budget. This would include myself. Sorry to say it but if this holds true im out of nyc and wont be returning to this job. I have the means of employment for a job out of state, and would not miss the new NYC at all. Very sad...
A few pages back, weeks before de Blasio released his doomsday budget I said this was likely to happen. A 1600 manpower reduction for DSNY would be devastating to DSNY and the city long term. DB also feels that if people are working from home more there isn't a need to salt and plow as aggressively as they have been in years past. Fewer people leaving their homes for work, school, etc....
Strap in folks. The next 18 months of the de Blasio administration is going to make the last 78 months look like a vacation.
Layoffs are A rumored last resort for October 1. So I highly doubt they are even considering a class for October
It seems like every council member is touting how they "saved the budget" without losing one city worker. We'll be hearing the same lingo in October lol...

Not sure if this is still true, but every new class, they start from list number 1 and then go up. Correct?
yes , anybody who deferred , got skipped etc etc and then put themselves back on the list will be called first
