Tonight after 8 Pm the cops need to start sweeping the streets! Anyone that does not vacate and retreat needs to be arrested on site. This is the only way this non sense will stop.
For God's sake Cuomo send in the National Guard in large numbers to get back control of NYC. NYPD needs more than just their manpower. Do your job, its the Governor's job to ensure the safety and security of his state and its people. Don't force Trump's hand to use the Insurrection Act and bring in the Army and Marines. The National Guard should have been called out days ago. LOOTERS ARE NOT PROTESTORS!!!! They are hijacking a legit gripe by people with a real grief!!
It depends on shooting with what. Tear gas, water cannon, baton rounds (aka rubber bullets), sound based systems (LRAD), even microwave systems (US Army's Active Denial System) could all be used.
Hizzoner has not allowed the NYPD to use ESU, Aviation, Mounted, Motorcycle, Scooters, Bearcats, HUMVEES because he wants to use a light touch. SMH

The governor can’t order it without first pulling the mayor out of the position ...it is the mayors call not the governor...Cuomo said today that he has to have the mayor removed before he could over ride his not using the national guard.it is just the way the laws work
During Cuomo's press briefing a bit ago he "fumed" that both the mayor and the police did not do their job last night. He also said that the National Guard is on standby for the mayor if he requests them but won't do it himself because that would "displace the mayor." Cuomo says that a well deployed police department would not need the National Guard.

Its simple, if he can't do the job Cuomo will take over. Trump has already threaten to take over governors who let this continue. That would be an ugly sight to have tanks and marines rolling around.

In the hood areas, alot of businesses still have mental bars and mental garage doors. Sadly they are used to this type of behavior so are prepared.
