Not me, but somebody who spends $400 on Yeezy Boost sneakers would and will :-).
There’s probably some cross section that does both, but that high price of rent that you have to pay for month after month isn’t quite the same as the purchase for sneakers. Also, a lot of people collect and at some point sell expensive sneakers, so it’s not necessarily a loss or that much of a loss. For example, someone who bought Yeezy 2 Red Octobers for $250 in 2014 could fetch a $5,600 price for them just four years later which is a pretty good ROI. Meanwhile, a person paying rent for an expensive apartment isn’t exactly seeing more money in their pockets in such a direct fashion from the rental unit though there are or had been people who would pay for rentals and try to make money through airbnb for short term rentals. That is understandably a much harder proposition in NYC right now.
they really have to come up with a plan to give it what i call "draw".
I don’t know about that. About a third of the Bronx is at least pretty decent to me and there are some nice things like Riverdale Park and the botanical garden.
The really big development in that area is the under construction Bankside complex that comes with a riverfront park.

There aren't even good dive bars. The borough has a very low concentration of bars besides maybe Dominican restaurants that turn into bars at night.
