That’s true for NYC. A profile in Manhattan is higher than for the 5 boroughs. But the deck is stacked for the insurance carrier. A provider has as little as 30 days to file a claim, but the carrier will audit back as much as 10 years to try to get that money back. If anyone is getting rich, it’s not typically the provider.

So far , everyone I know was discharged by the hospital when they should have been …stents and bypasses used to require long stays …technology and methods have reduced them to a day or two …my co worker had a shoulder joint replaced ….he was home the next morning .

Even c- sections are a fraction of the stay they were …..and everyone I know was just fine with these fast turn arounds .

So long stays for many things that are routine now with new procedures don’t require the stays they did

I know Doctors dont want you staying too long because an infection, like sepsis or pneumonia, has a better chance of getting a hold of you. Its better for everyone to get you home ASAP.

Oscar DeLa Hoya sick and having trouble breathing despite being “fully vaccinated”

Says Oscar, “ I wanted you to hear directly from me that despite being fully vaccinated, I have contracted COVID and am not going to be able to fight next weekend.”

You'd think a world class athlete with a strict diet in his 40s would automatically be immune given your normal criteria of just eat vegetables and you'll be fine.

Weird how that didn't work out for him...

The rest of us know the vaccine lessens our chances of being gravely ill and that's why we took it. So it appears to be doing its job.

would you say that makes the vaccine useless in reducing hospitalization ?

That's why you had to pay a pretty penny out of pocket for your stay in the hospital...

More nonsense .

No that’s is because they couldn’t discharge me until my o2 levels were stable enough..
My wife stabilized 4 days sooner than me so she was discharged in fewer days
