I don't believe in handouts. People should go out and work, no question, but suggesting that landlords burn down their properties is going to another level. Be thankful you're in a situation where you have a good job and a roof over your head.

There are quite a few people here on Citydata that don't realize how fortunate they are. We are all human and things can happen to any of us, no matter how much money we have or what kind of job we have.

So it may seem

I dont have a problem with good LLs out there getting money, I know they exist

Problem is they are few and far between

Most LLs wouldnt live in the places they rent out

Thats because they don't have a choice to ask

Plebs arent going to ask that, because its either put up with it or live under a bridge

You act like I have no idea of what it's like to rent an appt. I was a renter longer than an owner and never asked about how old the boiler was.

If anything, the tenant should be interviewing the LL, after all its the tenant that has to live there

A NYC LL will rent you a cardboard box and will call it a penthouse as long as they can get money

No wonder lottery apts got their own forum

I dont see small time LLs with their own forum on here (demand so high)

LOL
