Pick your choice to raise. I said weeks ago raise the subway price and set it aside for this crisis. Easiest way to generate. Tax the hard working class. Should be great for the votes. But it needs to be done.

Adams is asking for state and federal help since he can’t handle it. Nys is going to step in. Biden won’t touch this.

You ain't getting eighty-eight cents more outta me pal.

Yeah, raising taxes is a smart move; it will just cause more people who actually earn to bust a move out of this god forsaken state/city.

That was the point of the post

Can only tax the people who stay.

They have raised property taxes due to increased home values.
Water rates are raised virtually every few years. It's just a sly way to raise property taxes.

Also, have you seen the property tax rates on anything built within the last 10 years? It's Long Island level for 1/4 of the space.

Exactly!

Sad thing about city largely being made up of renters (and majority of them are in regulated housing or otherwise someone is carrying them in whole or part), is they don't know eff about how much things cost; to wit property taxes.

Real estate taxes on all classes of properties in NYC have been going up for past two decades or so.

No, city hasn't raised rates, but as noted above because assessed values have risen it pretty much means same thing.

Adams should grow a set and be real already. Just be mean to the illegals, you know it is the solution. Stop being a wimp. The illegals are trampling all over New Yorkers and our entire nation. They are an enemy through and through.

They are actually worse and more expensive than just a bunch of soldiers coming in with guns blazing. These illegals are stealing an ungodly fortune from us all and they are laughing and spitting in our faces.

Get mean. Throw some of them on the streets. Sick a few of our own homeless crazies on them. Kick these illegals asses. Be harsh as hell with them.

He should put them on the cruise ships and ship them the hell out.

Damn. He is having a hard time with this. Doing a good job at putting on a show too.
These are his future voters, he has to know that.

Have to talk to the accountant and figure out how to pay Keats amount if NY and federal taxes this year.
I don’t want to sponsor any of this crap.
