They were also talking about using hotels now too.

Just like the pandemic situation and we all saw what that did to the area. Just a bunch of mentally ill people and drug-addicted bums milling around normally decent neighborhoods.

Where’s the extra billion coming from? Time to cut some services for the residents.

Crime, migrant crisis , inflation , gas prices. Curious how midterms turn out.

New York City declares state of emergency on migrant influx

NEW YORK (PIX11) — Mayor Eric Adams declared a state of emergency Friday over New York City’s struggle to keep up with the influx of thousands of migrants, while imploring both federal and state lawmakers to provide urgent aid.

With more than 17,000 asylum seekers arriving since April, many of them bused north from border states by politicians, the city’s shelter system is overtaxed and its budget is projected to take a $1 billion hit by the end of the fiscal year, Adams said.

This is unsustainable,” said Adams of the status quo. “The city is going to run out of funding for other priorities. New York City is doing all we can, but we are reaching the outer limit of our ability to help.”

The reality is business has never been as good for the cartels as it is right now under this administration’s open border policies," Morgan said.

WASHINGTON (TND) —
In a costly endeavor, President Joe Biden's administration has reportedly issued over 300,000 smartphones to noncitizens who have migrated to the United States.

It's all a part of the "Alternatives to Detention Program (ATD)." The smartphones cost taxpayers $361,218.08 per day, according to ICE.

Jon Feere, the director of investigations at the Center for Immigration Studies and a former senior advisor at the Department of Homeland Security, called the program a "costly failure" while speaking with the Washington Free Beacon last month, claiming thousands of migrants don't engage or keep up with the programs and just disappear,

Yes. I don’t think Adams was expecting bus loads upon bus loads. I’m glad they’re being sent up here since now Blue states will actually care about this problem instead of pretending to be virtuous from a distance.

As long as it's with someone else's money. It's cutting in to their other welfare programs which they use to buy votes.
