Well since I have 0 belif in the nypd crime stats im puting it to the test to see if im right or wrong im posting a link to every homicide in the city to see how many are reported.
BTW, Corona is the gang capital of NYC. The gang violence there is out of control!
Really? Corona isn't the most appealing area, but I've felt a lot safer there than other parts of the city.. that's not to discredit you, you could be right, but that would be pretty surprising to me.

Im too lazy to look it up but look up articles on Corona and gangs from 2007-2009 and it's really an epidemic. Trust me on this one, there are too many articles to post up.
The crime rate isn't high but practically all the violence that occurs there stem from gang violence. So if you're not involved in the Latin Kings, ABK, Familia, and Trinitarios, you'll feel safe.

You probably never really dealt with it that much since you weren't a teen or in a gang. The few times I've been in Corona I didn't feel unsafe at all. But it might be different for kids actually growing up there.
