Out in Flatbush we must have gathered up to 400 people through our march down the streets. Not one violent altercation occurred. It was Peace and love all the way, Mixed crowd of mostly West Indians, Latinos, and Whites. What an incredible site!
It was done exclusivley Flatbush Style, with a horn section, drums, cow bells, Like a Carnival!

Ah man, the same thing with Linden Blvd. I went to pick up my mom and I've never seen so much people on the streets in my life.

Times Square looked like New Years Eve. Fort Greene, Bed Stuy all were party zones. And I'm glad I heard nothin but good news.

The shots weren't directed at anyone. They shot them up in the air, like "fireworks". This happens alot.

This does not happen alot..it happens extremely rarely..although not as rarely as electing a black president...which is what elicited a couple gunshots in very isolated cases. No suprise there..but considering we have a city of 8 million people, and it was such a historic election, the fact that there were a couple of incidences shows how much we as a nation, and as a city, have changed. Change is in the air!

It's true; despite some of the unbelievably nasty things that were said over the course of the campaign, the celebrations around the country last night were generally calm.

Fred I disagree 100%..they were not calm, they were energized, loud, boisterous, thrilling, emotional, exuberant and SAFE...they way they should be. Change.
