To Motorman Mike. What is the top salary and is there a lot of overtime?
Pay is different from when you start (Yard) until when you actually get into passenger service)
Yard designation right now is 31.2541
Pas Srv i believe is closer to 33
In school car there is practically no OT, but once you pass your exams, and get out there, and are an extra extra, there is PLENTY of Overtime available.
Top pay will be increasing the next 2 years 2% in January. New contract figures (to my knowledge, are unavailable right now)

I'm still in training, and I do pm tours. The night differential is 1.4099.
That makes the pay 32.664 for every hour you work between 6pm and 6am day to day, and 6 pm Friday to 6am Monday. (Weekend pay is same differential)
Holiday is double time.
Overtime is time and half.
Birthdays are treated as holidays, so you get double time if you work on your bdays. If your birthday is Christmas for example, and you work, it's triple time

You will get paid for it, but School Car (trainees/new Train Operators) will be off, so it will be a 3 day weekend.
