That's just weird.

I've heard of people touching a pregnant woman's stomach, but tattoo?

You know, I never thought about it, but this happened all the time at my gym. Not in an unpleasant way, but all of us (mostly men...but I'm a woman) would nod and say encouraging things about various body parts to familiar strangers/regulars...no one seemed weirded out. I wasn't.

At my gym I just finished lifting and was getting ready for the sauna. I put my swim trunks on and another guy was walking past my locker. The dude wasn't wearing ANYTHING and another guy commented on his abs. I turned around like WTF??

Have you ever stopped someone to ask them a question regarding their physical appearance, such as "How tall are you?" "How much do you weigh?" "Are those real?"

I guess I just have trouble comprehending the compulsion to ask such questions. Can't people guess?
At 6'6 I'm definitely not the tallest tree in the forest but I do get "wow, you're tall" quite a bit. It's almost always from women, though. In fact, I can't ever remember a man mentioning my size except maybe my football coaches in high school, so it's been awhile.

I never get grilled about my height and family history unless it's a nurse/medical assistant trying to make small talk as they do their routine stuff. The tallest person I've ever met actually was a female. We had a exchange student from somewhere in Africa when I was in high school and she was tall as hell, had to look up at her.

If I were single and ran into you, I'd probably hit on ya. Not everyday I see a women who is almost eye level with heels.

It's always men who say "wow you're tall" or need to know my exact height when I'm out and about...and it's not just shorter men. In the same store, the 6'5"+ manager approached me and asked me about my height and then followed up with questions about my daughter (she was a toddler in the carriage), my husband, etc.. The only time women really comment on my height is at restaurants/lounges/bars (usually in the ladies room LOL ) and generally they're paying me compliments, although some do follow up with "how tall are you?" but they never ask about my life or family history. And rarely am I approached at the supermarket/store by a female, unless it's because they need help getting something off the top shelf, etc.. Even then, my height is never mentioned.

ImportersWife, I totally understand where you're coming from, it's not that you're offended, it just gets annoying when people keep asking and acting like they've never seen a tall person before. I'm only 5'8", and I have been stopped and questioned about my height too for some strange reason, I must look taller than I am because people think I'm like 5'10 or 5'11". I do get asked if my breasts are real a lot, which annoys me to no end. I am naturally well-endowed, which I am tired of telling people. I cannot understand why anyone would ask such a rude question, it just baffles me, like Lovesmountain said, I have come up with all kinds of "stupid" answers to come back at them with. I really cannot understand why people ask questions like "are those real", it is so damn rude. Lately I just respond with, wow, that's kinda personal and rude, dont cha think?
