Doubtful. My friend suggested we meet for lunch to celebrate my birthday and she also picked the restaurant. When the check came she immediately did the math and presented me with what my share came to.
On your birthday? The way you decribe it, your share should have come to ZERO, with you offering to leave a tip, if the meal (inc. tip) was not charged to your friend's card.

I find this downright rude. If your friend invited you to celebrate your birthday the least she could do was to pay for your lunch. The one day of your life you should be happy and you get stiffed.

I would think you would have such mundane things as who is paying for a darn lunch figured out by now. If you aren't gay on a date bring your own money.....that is what I would do with a female friend I'm not sleeping with cuz I'm not having sex with them at this time. Maybe you are gay for pay or a sandwich which is a whole different thread.

I unfortunately paid for my own lunch. I was a little suprised but oh well.
