Shoot as far as food you can check out: Bida Manda(blount st), Garland(W Martin St), Dos Taquitos(glenwood south), Beasley's chicken + honey(wilmington st), The Raleigh Times(Hargett st.) tasty 8's(fayetteville st. more of a quick bite, but there berry berry good shake is bangin), Videri chocolate(davie st.) the pit is right there across from videri. You can so check out the flying biscuit and cameron bar and grill at cameron village(if you do go there hit up sugarland too, they're high but it's good).
No problem! I asked Atowwn because he seemed to stand out the most but I appreciate your advise! I will definitely have to keep them in mind

The parking lots surrounding it in that renderings are large apartments and the skyline is missing a few skyscrapers including 50 story Vue. This should be SouthEnds largest building and will further blur SouthEnd & Uptown
I have a feel this is the being of more high rise office building in Southend.

The land that the Midnight Dinner & hotel that was next to it (Its gone) has been sold. This could be the next big thing.

The Pit is great. A new place called box car is opening up right next door soon. Maybe it will be open by the time he gets here. It's a dive bar/ arcade. Whatever that means

Well Raleigh hasn't built many low-rise/mid-rise buildings. You got me on that one. But there hasn't really been a need to. We already had plenty.

Briggs Building 1865
Capital Building 1833
State Bank Building 1813
Estey Hall 1874
Federal Building 1874
Leonard Hall 1881
Masonic T building 1909
Peace College Main 1859
NC Ag Building 1921
Capital Club Building 1929
City Market 1914
Odd Fellows Building 1923
Pine State Building 1928
Professional Building 1925
Raleigh Bank and Trust 1920 something
Sir Walter Hotel 1924
Memorial Auditorium 1932

There are more but you get the point. To think Charlotte knocked down almost all it's history for that? What a shame. By the way these are all DT. If I tried I could come up with 10 more.

Anyways… I live in Winston and usually spend my weekends in Greensboro. Just recently, I've been going to Charlotte with some friends and I LOVE IT! It's no Chicago or LA but you can see a major difference in nightlife when compared to GSO/W-S. Im 20 so there is only so much i can do. I like keeping my self up to date with charlotte's development considering I have been wanting to transfer to UNC charlotte. Truly a remarkable growing city NC can be proud of.

BUT I turn 21 in two weeks. I have been to Raleigh for the NC State football games and those are really fun. I have never been to raleigh for other reasons though. My question, Atowwn.. Im going to the State fair on the 18th, as far as nightlife, any recommendations?? I am turning 21:P
Almost forgot. Go to Fox Liquor Bar. Awesome place. It's one of the Top 10 Cocktail Bars in America. There's usually a line.

disregard this part. But another nationally recognized bar or restaurant who woulda thunk it lol. Sorry I couldn't help myself.

That's a nice picture. Too bad you can't see them in person. Like we can. In all seriousness it kinda looks like part of Fayetteville St.
