No luck at Berger's office. The guy who answered the phone said he had no clue what, if anything was going to be done about it. Then he wanted to argue over how much Berger made last year. Either way it was more than the unemployed.
Well, I started the day off fair then spirits dropped. Had a knock at the door and it was a fellow member of the unemployed club. His lights were cut off this morning, water yesterday and asked if his kids could wash up here for school. I couldnt turn them away. I toasted some pop tarts for the kids and gave them lunch money and some snacks for the day. Ive got a big lump in my throat.
I am getting the feeling that since we are not the type that buys tickets to their fundraisers, that could give a $hit less about us. 130 people on a Facebook account does not make a protest.
I don't want to take away from their cause but you're right. Wonder if there would be enough of us than go? If so, may need to let these folks know we'd love to join their rally if they'll have us.
