ok nothing in the mail today.... which is good
i wasnt expecting anything else
BUT who knows
and of course i hate having to wait....
i was told that the supervisor has my info on her desk with 100s of others to key in to adjust EB dates
but not 100% sure if shes adjusting it back to reflect 8/8/2010 and pay off my OP and get me back on track which is ideal
or to last week so i get 1/2 payments and am destitute

i guess ill check tomorrow and call back, but it might be fri or the weekend before anyone even has time to key me in and seee
AND of course no call back from the Overpayment Dept/recovery specialist

i've been monitoring the media all morning.
when WRAL ran their story yesterday, i emailed them that they missed the point. Erin Hartness got back to me and said they were following up. which they did at noon.
a better story, more complete, with mentions of the 50%. couldve been better, but it was good. Deputy Chairman of the ESC David Clegg was on camera this time, and i have to say...not impressed. hard to be sure of anything in a 20 second sound bite, but he didnt strike me as...one of the regular people.

the N&O has also followed up with better information and many more examples of the 50% thing.

from the N&O:
The ESC has known it was miscalculating benefits for about 38,000 people since January but was unable to complete the necessary computer programming until recently, said David Clegg, the commission's deputy chairman and chief operation officer.

***
KNOWN ABOUT IT SINCE JANUARY.
and yet everyone who had a re-file in February, in March, in April, in May, were all calculated the same wrong way.

well it seems that even those in charge at the ESC are not really informed or maybe they just dont know
my assumption is that they ASSUMED when they ran the programs it would automatically swap out EB weeks for wrongly paid weeks... just like it did with Tier weeks
BUT apparently something didnt go as planned
thus the 50% payments

MOST of the reps (ive talked to like 6 now) and MOST of them still say that they are trying to still do that and get back to FULL payments by offsetting with your EB weeks but they are not sure how or when and its a mess....

still-- some people ARE having it done, some of us have gotten the weeks moved up and are back to full payments it seems, but most are either 1. still listed as EXHAUSTED and needing manual intervention to reopen or 2. stuck at 50% and need to have someone move the EB start date and BACK DATE it to when u ended tier 4 (the new date) to get us fixed

i urge EVERYONE to call over and over until they do just that!

so, according to published reports, they had OTHER things they found more important to do for the past 9 months, and AFTER 9 months, they run a program that didnt really correct the problem in the way some reps are saying it will one day, eventually, be solved.
i'm sure Mr or Mrs X, that now cant pay rent, or insurance, or medications, find that oh so satisfying.

The more I think about this, the more astonished I am. All the information being fed to us by ESC is really incredible. Surely the agency would not let us go 9 months with payments they know are incorrect, with no notice of such, and then expect payback?
And the mail has been here and I received no total letter and no EB letter. And the ESC site still shows my benefits exhausted and no check coming this week. Ow.
Could someone explain to me what "pull forward" means?

pull forward refers to pulling forward into this year your unused EUC and EB from last year. starting at where you ended when you had to file a claim for a 2nd year.
