A friend operates a food truck. His cheese steaks has been voted in the top 5 in all of PA.
He says business is booming, especially with blue collar people who are still working. He cooks and his wife delivers the food to customers and takes the cash. If she wears a mask, not enough? They need to be shut down?

Not everyone can work from home. Let those who can work outside of online and need to stay in business.

Oh yeah!? Where's that food truck located? I'd like to sample in my travels when I hunt for toilet paper and Lysol.

I wear mask all the time. The tie mask are easier for people that have problems with fogging glasses. You tie the top strap tight and bend the nose ridge to fit your nose. Then tie the bottom strap lose. Of course you lose some of the mask protection; but you will still be 'legal' when in public. The ones that strap around your ears can also be worn to allow you to breathe easier and not fog; but the straps might bother your ears? Twist the straps as you put them on so that, looking at your face from the side, the straps form an 'X'. It will bunch the mask so that it forms a pocket in the middle where you can breathe without the filtered air from the mask. However it does put more pressure on the straps that go around your ears.

Both of those methods will allow a person to use a mask and meet the guidelines. Of course the mask will no longer protect you like it was designed. They do make anti-fog wipes for your glasses; but they are usually not that effective. I do have to wonder how many accidents have been caused because people cannot see?

Can you link me to that article? I can’t find anything stating food trucks are not permitted. Out here in Carbon I saw several new food trucks set up in Lehighton that I’ve not saw before. One long time food truck has been open for pick up same as all the restaurants and fast food places during the red phase.

I am, too. I'm glad that people weren't ruining things for the food truck owners.

It is not q mobile truck, but stationary in a Salvation Army parking lot. Been there for the 3 years we have lived here. Besides the cheese steaks, they also sell hoagies, burgers, hot dogs, and fries. Their customers are mainly blue collar workers from the area. They buy their food and either eat it in their trucks or take back to where they work. You can phone in your order as well.

I don't see why this would not be an essential business, same as restaurant take out.

I went to college in Chester when Philly was just introducing cheese steaks. There was a little Italian deli next to the college and I could eat their cheese steaks three times a day and seven days a week. I don't like the cheese steaks from that one next to the Salvation Army. Kasa's in Cresco (I think of it more like Paradise Valley) beats the place by the Salvation Army. Nobody in this area makes a cheese steak as good as those original ones I ate way back in the 1960's. But I would still recommend Kasa's as one of the best in our area.

I also like the ones from the Daisy Bar just south of Wind Gap on the way to Easton. Theirs are not 'original Philly cheesesteaks' either; but they are still very good. Plus I always loved their barbeques on a roll!
