I've lived in Prince William County my entire life..PWC has really great schools and people However Bristow and Gainsville are more of the "getto" areas in the county.. but still they arnt that bad.. every county has its rough spots.. if your looking for a family friendly area with great education and teachers that really care.. i suggest the dale city area! The Elementry schools (Coles, Marshall, Ashland, ect.) the Middle schools (Louis A. Benton Middle is best in my opinion and experiance) and High Schools (Osbourn Park, Hiltion, Forest Park, Brenstville, ect) are all very respectable schools in PWC.. i hope you make good decisions and have a happy life in PWC

Welcome to the forum! I find your perspective intriguing as forum members generally hold a high regard for the Bristow/Gainesville/Haymarket area. Your point of view is appreciated, though.

This person is clearly trolling. No one in their right mind would call Gainesville or Bristow ghetto especially compared to Dale City (no offense). By the way Coles, Marshall and Ashland Elementary Schools aren't even in Dale City, it is considered the 20112 section of Manassas! What do any of those places have to do with this person's point?

What the hell mods? I addressed the troll and corrected the information given on Bristow/Gainesville. This crap really gets old in here sometimes. There was nothing wrong with my post that was deleted.

How could anyone who has lived in Dale City for more than 30 years (like me) NOT take offense at your statement?

The person who referred to Gainesville and Bristow as being ghettos was both incorrect and ignorant.

Let me clarify my point. I, in no way, believe Dale City is ghetto or even bad, but there is a perception that exist and I think it exist mainly because of the socio economical differences in the two areas. People see Dale City as this working class, diverse area with some shady parts compared to parts of Western PWC which are mostly middle to upper middle class, mostly white with tons of newer development. The two areas are just completely different so some people tend to categorize Dale City as being ghetto when comparing it to Western PWC. I don't think it's ghetto but it certainly would be considered a 'worse' area than Western PWC in my book.
