Yeah, the telemarketers suddenly started getting through on our FiOS line about 6:00 pm. And the line crews pretty much just keep at it until the outage level is brought back to within normal bounds. Hope all is well at home once you get there.

I'm so glad that we have NOVEC instead of Dominion. We almost never have outages. During the storm we lost power for about one minute, then it was fine. Of course, it helps that our lines are buried.

We have NOVEC also and our lines are buried. We lost power for 12 hours.

Ugh, sorry. We've just been very lucky where we are. A small part of our neighborhood is north of the boundary into Dominion territory, and overall they have more outages than we do.

Thanks, but in all fairness I agree with you about how good NOVEC is. We hardly ever lose power either but this storm was just too big this time! I'm in Bristow.

YES - 4:45 this morning (Monday) the power came back (out since 9:30 or 10:00 Fri. night) (it was hot as ..........) - luckily, I have held onto a couple of corded phones for when the power is out so we did have phone service.

Edit: I checked the basement freezer and the meat is all still frozen (going to check more thoroughly), that freezer was jam packed which I'm sure helped. Upstairs freezer will probably have contents tossed as well as the downstairs things like frozen veggies, ice cream, etc.

Does anybody know if power or phone lines are still out in the Occoquan/Lake Ridge area? I've been waiting for a call about leasing an apartment but haven't heard anything.

I'm in 22192 and the phone/power was restored on Saturday at 530pm. My coworker who is near the Wawa on Minnieville, just got power yesterday at 3pm.

That's good news. I tried to get gas there yesterday at about 2PM and everything was still down.

And Dominion's outage map has MUCH less red on it this morning than it did last night, so their crews were working hard on a Sunday night to get people restored
Your power is probably on, we are just north of you in Lowes Island (20165) and the power was on when we came to check on our cat this morning at 9:00. We spent the night in Leesburg, it was 94 in our place (the fourth floor of a condo building) and we finally gave in and went to a hotel.
