ok

This honestly isn't that bad to be honest lol well in my opinion/case

I regularly made commutes LONGER than to see family in Austin area from DFW over the years, so it's not bad for me at all honestly

Hence, this is the reason for my post if you couldn't figure that out yet lol

Not a "bro", bro....I'm female.

Knowing that DC is not a state is something I leaned in grade school. Didn't have to wait around for people to tell me. And I truly find it hard to believe that anyone who lives here has referred to the area that way. Are you sure they weren't referring to the NY, NJ, CT area??

If you serious thought I was referring to DC as one of the 50 states you need to recheck your reading comprehension

If i'm correct, the parts of VA, MD, and DC are sometimes loosely referred to as the tristate area which is what i was referring to

well geez... you know... that explains it huh?

considering the fact that I've never lived there(which is the ENTIRE purpose for my post LOL) I guess that would make sense...right?

(that was sarcasm if you couldn't get it)

No. Never. DC Area, perhaps. But "tristate" would require three states.

Just because you think you're being honest, that doesn't mean that you don't come across pretentious as hell. And it doesn't appear that I'm the only one who's interpreting it that way.

I work in "Fairfax" for a government contractor that is a "top" corporation. I gotta say, you would not fit in with the engineers here. The vast majority are low key, drive Toyota's and think that wearing khakis is dressing up.

SFH in Fairfax County runs 600K+, so no, you could not afford a SFH on that salary.
