I specifically bought a house where beneficial infrastructure was established. Parks, sidewalks, trails, and access to public transit are important to us and we bought accordingly. I did move to London and then complain about lack of this and that. Or Warrenton. Or Winchester. NoVa is a huge area. Of course everywhere doesn't have everything. What's your point really?
I think that poster has previously indicated she's in Sterling, in Loudoun County.

I do agree with her comment that there are other areas where people pay higher taxes and also get more services in return.

Everything actually attractive about NoVa these days was in fact built by these "invaders", but the bitter backlash just keeps coming from some quarters. Fortunately for the rest of us, these people are very small in number in the grander scheme of things.
I've learned that just from posting here the last week. Thankfully, most people have been extremely friendly on this forum (lots of DMs).

Wow. Just wow. Your post is offensive, and incorrect, in so many ways. Not even worth really addressing this. I've been here since 73. How about you? Please enlighten me on these "redneck yokels" you speak of.

So where are these "redneck yokels" you've seen in the last week of posting?

I didn't use the word "redneck". I've certainly encountered what appears to be bitterness, resentment and as I stated, a bit of an inferiority complex amongst a few posters here. But, again, most are great.

I know you didn't but you agreed with the person who did. I've been reading the posts as well and maybe I missed something but I didn't see the negative ones.

It's spelled "Loudoun" if what you are referring to is the county.

You should probably go back and re-read then.

I'll take your word if you feel someone was negative. I did see two posters going back and forth to each other and thought it a little overkill.

My only regret is that I didn't see this thread right after the first post, so that I could respond with:

"NoVA, unfriendly?! F*** you!"
