I'm glad to hear you are turned on, AC. (Sorry, couldn't resist....)

We've gone from AC to heat back to AC. Can't I have just one week where the temperature is 65-70 with no rain???

Awww, rain is a good thing. I'd much rather have rainy showers in the spring than drought in August.

For a few days last week, we had AC during the day and heat during the night. By weekend it was all AC.
I "love" the quality of the construction.

I generally resist AC until the last possible moment (which tended to come pretty early in the summer, back in MO - here in VA, too, though it actually cools down in the evening more here.. MO was uniquely weird that way), but I'm currently in a townhome whose back French doors have NO SCREENS. Hence, no cross-ventilation, since you can't leave said doors open for air unless you're fond of sharing your dwelling with ants, stink bugs, un-catalogued centipede-type things, and other assorted Mid-Atlantic Coastal Plain entomological life. That's why my next home (yes, *my* home - I won't be renting it!) will have at least one window on all four sides, even if the total square footage is something as little as.. .. 700.

That made me smile. I love how much people care about their pets here. Both you and vermonter are getting rep points just because I like reading comments from people who are kind to animals.

It's fun to look back through the posts from previous years, isn't it!

If I was living alone, I'd still be holding out on the AC. Be it 2009 or 2011

But my husband and son both have seasonal allergies, and keeping the windows closed, and the AC on, really helps them feel less miserable. I guess I love them enough to pay the higher electric bill

A/C has been on since Sunday when I nearly melted. Allergies and a very efficient A/C system makes it mandatory until the temps settle back into the 70s.
