My 3rd car was a 1966 Chevrolet Caprice, with the 327 V-8 engine, and it had a lot of the 1960s muscle. Taken in 1977 when I was 20.
In 1985, with a 1978 Fiat Bertone X-19.. It was a piece of junk because it spent more time in the shop than on the road. We joked about the name Fiat, it stood for Fix It Again Tony.. I got rid of it a few months later and I got the 1984 Mustang GT.
You can also see part of the yellow 1955 or 1956 Chevrolet in the middle of the picture, it belonged to one of my parents' neighbors.
My first car I bought with a 1978 Chevy Monza 2-door hatchback that looked very similar to this, only it had different wheel covers:
I ended up selling it to my next-door neighbor at the time. She seemed to like it.
My favorite car is my current car, a 2009 Toyota Corolla LE. I've only had it since January and it only has 41,000 miles on it. It looks exactly like this one, including the color:
I learned how to drive in a '67 Mustang convertible....
My first car was a brand new Chevy Cavalier, at 18
My favorite car- lol none of them...
I prefer riding a Harley
Learned to drive on whatever was in my folks driveway. Dad bought pieces of junk, drove them back & forth to work while working on them.....then sold them, only to buy another junker. Maybe he liked tinkering? Anyway my FIRST car (that was purchased BY ME) was a 1973/74 (?) DODGE COLT. Bought it brand new! I think the color was called "GunMetal Blue." Was the ideal car for me. Very small, very economical. Reasonable payment {all ^^^ important because I was by then a divorced, mother of 1 & on a strict budget}. It was so cute & I loved driving it. Drove it until "old/high mileage repairs made it cost prohibitive. I guess for sentimental reasons it is still my favorite. Drove 1 more Colt, a Geo Tracker {which is my 2nd favorite - talk about durable!}. Now we are into Nissan Altimas. They are great but I guess being a female & in my 60's.....cars no longer excite me??? Just want them to get me from point a to point B for a minimum amount of money & trouble.
Vauxhall Corsa, the 1998 model and the 2008 model, and the Honda Jazz (2003 model).
They are all fairly small hatchback cars but the Honda Jazz is far more spacious and more powerful than the former.
The Vauxhall Corsa I learned to drive in with my instructor. The modern version. That one had horrible gears, stalled easily, but fair power. My first car was then the 1998 Vauxhall Corsa (been through 4 previous owners). It was rather less powerful and very cramped inside but had nice transmission and control. No power stearing but I didn't mind it at all.
Honda Jazz more powerful than either of those, light on the control with power steering, nice handling in general but a bit bumpier ride on certain roads.

Great snap shots and cars, MM!
The second picture of you reminds me of the famous musician, and ex-lover of Linda Evans, Yanni.
It's a 1962 Mercury Monterey (older than me but not by much) but it didn't quite look that good.....it was a muted pink color with the bullet tail lights and it was the most embarrassing car to drive ever. My friends didn't like to be seen in it and one even ducked down when she saw someone she knew. It got me mostly where I needed to go though but it did overheat quite frequently and I was always running out of gas because the gas gauge didn't work. I paid $100 for it and when I junked it I got $100 back so it paid for itself. Can't say that I was necessarily sad to see it go.
My favorite car is the one I have now, it's a 2005 Jeep Liberty Renegade with the lights on top and all the fancy bells and whistles to make it look really sporty. It's black and is very fun to drive even though it's not really that smooth of a ride. I've come a long way since that first ugly car!
The first vehicle with doors that you sit inside instead of riding on, was a 1972 or 1973 VW Bus, in hippy orange and white.
Like this, but orange instead of yellow: http://www.vwvortex.com/artman2/uploads/1/lms_600.jpg
My favorite car, hands-down, was my Jaguar X-type. It was that amazing green that is generally reserved only for Triumph and MGB and Jaguar cars. Burlwood dash, 6-speaker Alpine with subwoofer, sunroof, leather heated all-way adjustable seats, heated side-view mirrors, plush carpeting, plenty of trunk space, an engine that really did purr like a kittycat.
I've decided if I ever win Powerball, I'll buy two Jaguars. One for driving, the other as a spare since these things are like - the Harley Davidson of cars: ALWAYS in the shop for something or another!
