Not in school but I did fall asleep during some management meetings at work. I still think the oxygen content in the boss's office was off kilter even if OSHA swore it wasn't.

Today's Question:
Who are your favorite rock and roll musicians or bands? I’m not a huge fan of rock and roll. I like it in passing on the radio, but I don’t go out of my way to remember bands.

Bonus Question:
Last weekend Queen Elizabeth II and millions of Britons celebrated her Diamond Jubilee, 60 years as queen of the United Kingdom.
Do you follow new stories about the British royal family:
With a lot interest or
Kinda, sorta or
Not so much?

Foodie Question:
Have you enjoyed any watermelon yet this season? Yes!
Do you ever use watermelon in recipes or just eat it straight? Straight most of the time. I have made watermelon salad—add lemon, basil, feta, and salt, and enjoy.
Ever salt the watermelon? Only for watermelon salad.

Just for fun:
Did you ever fall asleep in school? Lol.
If so, did you get caught? Lol. I have interpreters in all my classes, and have to put my hand on top of theirs to receive sign language. If I fall asleep, my hand starts slipping down their arm, so yes, they notice.

Today’s Word:
bollard [bol-erd] noun
originally a post for fixing mooring ropes; since mid 20th century, a post used as a traffic control device

Hm, looks like a word I’ll never have to use in my life.

Today Is:
Chocolate Ice Cream Day
Freedom of the Press day
June Bug Day
Native American Appreciation Day

Have a good Thursday, everyone. You too! I have so much school work to do…lol. For the people who actually read this, school isn’t almost out—I’m taking an intensive summer course.

Interesting! I'm surprised I haven't run across this word in my business, since I work for a commercial and industrial construction company. Here are some bollards.

Today Is:
Chocolate Ice Cream Day Yum yum YUM! I've been in the mood for ice cream all week! Haven't had any for quite a while. Tonight I'll be preparing food for pinochle club at my house tomorrow, and I'm going to make a peppermint ice cream pie with chocolate crust, which will be served with chocolate syrup drizzled over the top.
Freedom of the Press day Freedom rocks!
June Bug Day June bugs are pretty cool.
Native American Appreciation Day Happy NAAD, _redbird_ and others!

I hope you all have a fantastic, super-duper terrific Thursday!

PS - Beautiful photo, Nomadicus!
