Well, ya see......I bought this big ol' ham (8.71 lbs.) and baked it on Sunday so that we can eat it right through until Thanksgiving! So now, with the ham not far from being gone (but still enough left! ), I will roast the 20.81 pound turkey early tomorrow morning (lol!) and start eating that whole dang thing next! .........

Happy Thanksgiving friends and all!

(oh....and Sweetie Pie ---- I won't forget to put cranberry sauce on my fork along with the turkey and stuffin', like I promised you! ) ....................

Turns out that I'll have mrsrainroosty here with me after all!

I love reading all the nice posts from all of you here! Yayyyyyy! THAT makes me happy! ...

This year our turkey is very narcissistic..

Safe travels for all that will be on the roads.
I usually have everyone here so come on over

I have a 24 pound turkey that will go in the oven around 8AM..the best part is the next day with a turkey stuffing and cranberry sandwich toasted...
I also made polish green beans, broccolli casserole, mashed potatoes will be made tomorrow as well as carrots and gravy someone is bringing squash others are bringing appetizers. Not sure how many will be here..whoever wanders in is fine
For dessert I made a Kahlua cake some chocolate cookies and blondies...so not good for the waistline but so good for the sweet tooth.

Doesn't matter what you eat it is who you enjoy it with so enjoy the day all! Don't forget there are no calories on Thanksgiving.

We have cooked two complete turkey dinners today... Well my wife did. We are going out tomorrow for Thanksgiving dinner at Furr's to meet some of the SIL's family.

Two 12lb turkeys
Broccolli Casserole
Dressing
Giblet gravy (strained)
Pumpkin gooey butter cake
Abbreviated version lacking some desserts we usually have.

It's finally almost here! Let's talk all about it until the big day arrives, and then talk about it for months afterwards, too!

I try to forget about Thanksgiving after I experienced and witnessed this show on TV years ago.

I think I'm more excited about the turkey sandwich I will have later than the actual dinner

So I got up at 4am to put a bone-in turkey breast in the crock pot and it barely fit. Of course I took it out of the fridge, it was prepped on a plate and all the juice/water spilled all over me and the floor. Lol oh and the cats thought I was staying up
