A professor of nutrition and food sciences speculates that people either ate the cheese soon
after it was made or buried it in pots for months when food was scarce.
After being buried in the ground for months, he said, the cheeses would have been non-perishable
"bomb-proof" and pretty pungent. "They probably would not be the first choice for a lot of people
today," he said. "But I would still love to try it."

Actually, I did know today's factoid Joy! Last night my boyfriend, who's a history and anthropology fan, emailed me and told me about the cheese story in Poland. I, too, find it interesting!

And 7,501 years ago they discovered the need to make wine to go with that cheese. Thus the start of the wine business was started.
I'll be serving cheese and wine at my party this evening. The tradition continues!
