Good morning peevers.

We're now all home for the Christmas break.

I picked up Miss J yesterday and now Mrs J is using up her vacation time so that we are all together.

Our fellow peever redbird made a comment in a previous POTD and I'm going to hijack that today!

The comment was about smelly hotel rooms, but perhaps we can extend that wider. Smells are one thing that we are very sensitive to and can lead to certain associations. My Grandmother's house often seemed to smell of boiling cabbage!

How about you peevers?

Any places or rooms got you going?

Let us know because the POTD is;

Smelly places.

I'm just about to go out and if I get the chance I might take a couple of photos to post later.

I have been to motel/hotel non-smoking rooms that reeked of cigarette smoke, which I can't stand. We asked to be moved to a different room and were moved. I use to see a hypnotist weekly for a year. She always burned a particular insence. Everytime I went to her house it smelled (a good smell) the same way. It got to a point where that smell would automatically cause me to really relax. This time of year makes me think of the smell of a freshly cut Christmas tree. Unfortunately I live in a small apartment and there is no place for a trre that isn't too close to the heater. I miss that smell.

The older I get, the more sensitive I get with chemical odors, like cleaning stuff,, perfumes, stuff like that.

If it's smelly as in unclean I won't remain in that place or near a dirty person. There's a difference between someone who is sweaty from a hard days work and someone who never bathes and is compiling filth on their body and/or wearing clothing that is not clean.

That was a funny show! The Phoebe character is one of the most entertaining female characters ever created for TV and I raise a glass of holiday cheer to those writers!
