Golly gosh! Seems like the Western World is under a big cloud of rain!

I don't have any fruit or veg in my garden to really care; but at least it will freshen up my lawn.

Hope it doesn't rain next bank holiday weekend either. I need a holiday!!!!

I'm sure you can keep up with it and go at a good pace .... Don't think my 2 mile an hour would impress much ( yes I know I've set myself right up there!! LMAO )

No but seriously it's better when friends exercise ... Good for support
Another issue with a treadmill is the boredom!

Unless you've got an mp3 player to listen to, or a TV or tablet perched in front of you, giving you something to watch as you run, it can get quite boring.

Do you live anywhere near Greater Manchester?

There's a myth that says Manchester is one of the wettest cities in the UK

Hello, youngest son. I'm doing very well, thank you. I've been keeping tabs on you on here, just haven't had much time to drop in.

Rain here too but it's pouring. I'm worried about my tomatoes getting blight
I'm glad you liked the recipe, Lisa. I have to be honest and tell you I don't remember which one that is. I'm always trying new ones but I usually end up going back to my old standards.

Enjoy those tacos; if you have any spare, just ship them across the Pond and I'll take care of them
Hi Zola. No, we haven't had any measurable rain in months. Now it has rained so much we are under flash flood warnings, but that's nothing new. We go months without rain and then when it rains the ground is so hard and dry the water just runs off. Life in the desert.

I always have spare tacos, enchiladas and burritos. I'm not sure they would survive the trip over the ocean, though. I used to spend a fortune sending my son canned green chile when he was deployed.

It's been quite dark here as well with the rain and cloud cover. I'm loving it. I spent most of the morning sitting with my front door open, a cup of tea and a book. My kind of day.

LC-What is that carnival? What does it have? 2 days?

Zola-Plug ins are better but being off grid we make our own power so I try to use less electric things

Yes…it does get boring. I usually get a large print book for it. Music makes me go faster though.

What is the Notting Hill carnival? No sleep for 2 days because you are participating in it or because of the noise?

IAW…it was the layered burritos with chicken, salsa, and any other ingredients like onions, peppers, olives etc. then baked with cheese on top.

Yeah I remember that part.... I've once done 55 minutes of constant jogging on it... But only because I ran my mouth for a change and was with a bird I was seeing....

" oh yeah I'd love to do that my love... I'll match whatever you do "....

She didn't get any for 2 days from me sulking! LMAO ...

No but seriously I was in agony.

Have you ever done circuit training?... Either normal or the best one is in a boxing gym.... You would love that
