I'm so old I remember when the news was reported, not made up.
I'm so old I remember when the government stayed pretty much out of your life.
I'm so old I remember when people worked for a living and didn't rely on government handouts.
I'm so old I remember when there was prayer in school.
I'm so old I remember when a dollar bought something, something made in America.
I'm so old I remember
dang, I forgot what I was going to say !

1932......FDR as President
1933......Hitler was made Chancellor of Germany
1937......Hindenburg disaster in New Jersey (I actually heard the radio broadcast played at school)
1939......King George VI and Queen Elizabeth at Toronto Ont Canada. Saw them on the balcony looking down at the crowds below.
"Seagrams Crown Royal" was named after their visit. Read the label on the back of the bottle for a verification.

Lot of things happened those years I mentioned.
What I was looking for (expecting to find) was a answer from someone who actually lived the time period as I did.
No one so far that has not looked up things in books or the Internet.
