Remember Arid Under Arm Deodorant.. In the " White Glass Jar " sticking your finger in the goo and smearing it on your pit.. if you dropped the jar it shattered in a zillion micro shards.. and you always had bare feet..

Also OTC and prescription medicine bottles--not to mention milk bottles. Just about the only glass bottles I see anymore are spaghetti sauce and pickles and similar foods. The cobalt blue bottles that Milk Of Magnesia and other antacids came in are collectibles today. I have a couple of MOM bottles in a sunny window with artificial flowers in them. Very pretty when the sun shines through them.

I have an old brown glass jug (it was my dads) that motor oil came in. I use it for decoration on my front porch. I also have several old milk bottles. I have them displayed on top of my kitchen cabinets.

"Primitives" such as glass MOM bottles, glass milk bottles, old kitchen utensils, old wash tubs, old galvanized buckets, old wooden cabinets, crocks, cream cans and all that old "farm stuff" are big in my rural area and many talented women decorate their homes beautifully with them.

I live in a rural area too and the primitives are big here too. That's basically how I decorate. I especially love the old crocks and enamel pans. I also display some old scales. I have an egg scale on my kitchen counter and nobody know what it is.

I also have some old feed sacks which are in mint condition, I need to figure out how to use them for a decor project.
