Too young to officially be hired by Colonial Stores the manager paid me to 'Rack Bottles' in the back of the store. Back then all soft drinks were in glass bottles and you paid a deposit for each one. Everyone returned their bottles to get refunded and the bottles needed to be 'racked' in wooden racks according to the type of drink.

Same here, the owner is at it 5-6 days a week and even moved into a larger space.

And then there's Willie's Shoe Shop started in 1956 and still going strong.
