McAfee keeps mine screwed up and Norton was worse. But I've had someone go after a credit card and my checking account so I have to keep the stupid McAfee on until I can afford something better. Good luck with dumping Google Earth if that's what you have.
I like AVG. So do my parents and I don't think they've had any problems. AVG has a free version which is sufficient but then there's a paid version.
Question CD:
Is it wrong for me to be jealous that my SO is communicating with another guy more than she is with me?
Tonight we had been hanging out watching movies because she wasn't feeling good but the entire time we were together she was talking to some guy we both know. And when I brought it up she got all defensive and told me I shouldn't be jealous of a kid (a couple years younger than me). I told her I'm uncomfortable knowing that some guy has her attention more than me. However she told me that texting someone is different than talking and hearing their voice. I personally think it's not. Communicating is communicating. No guy should be talking to her more than me.

I use Microsoft Security Essentials on mine (FREE download on Microsoft's site) on the recommendation of my DS who has worked in IT Maintenance and support for the past 8-10 years or more. He says it is one of the best ones if you are staying with free, and being developed by MS, there are fewer conflicts. So far, no problems. Just make sure that whatever you use, you only use one. Anti-virus is one area where more is not necessarily better. Running more than one AV application can cause conflicts that can slow down or even stop your computer. I even switched from AVG to MSE on my Windows virtualization on my Mac.
kids... why can't they learn from their parent's mistakes??? I suppose my mistakes could be so profound that... well maybe I am repeating them. I just need the kids to only follow the good examples I set and not the bad ones. It would be nice if it worked that way.
When someone is having a bad morning and attempting to get things going the way that they would like becomes upset they don’t have to “stress” over it and make everyone else’s day turn into a “stressful” one as well. {{{{ chill out }}}}

I used AVG a few years ago and had forgotten about it between PC crashes and new ones. Look at what rrtechno has to say.

Very interesting, rrtechno. I'm on my way to take a look at that right now. Thanks mucho!
While walking to go inside the store, I stepped in some chewing gum that someone had spit out on the sidewalk or parking lot. They didn’t need it anymore so that was a good place for it. However it was “stuck” on the bottom of my shoe and what a mess it makes trying to remove it.

I dumped McAfee and loaded MSE yesterday and so far none of the problems. The new vent is that McAfee would not allow the usual uninstall. I had to browse and find something else to get rid of it. Thanks again for passing on the info.
