Today we say goodbye to April and hopefully the last of the cold weather for our northern friends.
It is going to be in the 90 this weekend I will gladly send some of that heat to anyone who is interested

I have a very busy day ahead so I and going to start with the most fun part

Today's Question(s):

When I was little I really wanted A DOG and MY EARS PIERCED because a lot of the kids had them ?

Bonus Question:
Yesterday we talked about what famous people we wanted to have lunch with

How many of you said " OOOO I want to have lunch with this person too " while reading other posters answers ? There were a few interesting answers that got my attention.

Extra Credit Question:

In honor of scale & honesty day

Have you ever "fudged" the numbers a bit when asked "How much do you weigh"? Only by a couple of pounds.

Speaking of weight

Where is "Wanda the weight loss Fairy"
I would be really happy if she could make SEVERAL pounds disappear?

Just for Fun:

What "College Fads" do you remember being popular when you were younger?

Today in History:
1772 - John Clais patents 1st scale
1885 - Boston Pops Orchestra forms
1889 - 1st U.S. national holiday, on centennial of Washington's inauguration
1904 - The Ice cream cone makes its debut
1947 - Maps had to be changed as Boulder Dam was changed back to its original name, Hoover Dam. Some people, mostly those who live in the community of Boulder, Nevada, still refer to the dam as Boulder Dam
1955 - A few University of Iowa men students released a little pent-up energy. They conducted the first ever panty raids at the women?s dorm.
1952 - Mr. Potato Head is 1st toy advertised on television

Word of the Day:

recalcitrant \rih-KAL-sih-truhnt\ , adjective;
1. Stubbornly resistant to and defiant of authority or restraint. I know someone like that.

Today is:
National Raisin Day
National Oatmeal cookie day
Ice Cream Cone Day
Hairstyle Appreciation Day
Mr. Potato Head Day
Scale Day
National Honesty Day
Have a nice day everyone.

What "College Fads" do you remember being popular when you were younger ?
Other than fashion, I can't think of any. We didn't eat goldfish, pack ourselves into phone booths or things like that and I was too early for the protests of the 60's.

Today in History:
1772 - John Clais patents 1st scale what did they use before?
1885 - Boston Pops Orchestra forms had no idea it was this old
1889 - 1st U.S. national holiday, on centennial of Washington's inauguration hmmmmm
1904 - The Ice cream cone makes its debut good idea, too.
1947 - Maps had to be changed as Boulder Dam was changed back to its original name, Hoover Dam. Some people, mostly those who live in the community of Boulder, Nevada, still refer to the dam as Boulder Dam I do and I don't even live there.
1955 - A few University of Iowa men students released a little pent-up energy. They conducted the first ever panty raids at the women’s dorm. Panty raids!! Forgot all about those and the 50's was my era. However, I don't remember any at University of Texas.
1952 - Mr. Potato Head is 1st toy advertised on television

Word of the Day:

recalcitrant \rih-KAL-sih-truhnt\ , adjective;
1. Stubbornly resistant to and defiant of authority or restraint. Typical teenage.

Today is:
National Raisin Day I be raisin' tomatoes in my garden
National Oatmeal cookie day I love 'em, too.
Ice Cream Cone Day Sounds like a good idea.
Hairstyle Appreciation Day Shouldn't this be Hairstylist Appreciation Day?
Mr. Potato Head Day Happy Birthday, Mr. Potato Head.
Scale Day Never go near them unless in doctor office.
National Honesty Day Guess I cannot tell a lie today.

Good mornin' folks! Been in training all week to be a census enumerator. I joke that the Census tells you to stand up and be counted so the government can tell you to sit down and shut up! lol Seriously though, if you didn't turn yours in, lost it or whatever, if these people come to your door be nice to them. They're just doing there job!
Our crew leader joked that, if somebody asks what we get out of doing this job, we could tell them $11.25 an hour and 50 cents a mile! lol

Today's Question(s):

When I was little I really wanted a new bike and/or _______because a lot of the kids had them ?

How many of you said " OOOO I want to have lunch with this person too " while reading other posters answers ? Didn't get a chance to read that.

Extra Credit Question:

Have you ever "fudged" the numbers a bit when asked "How much do you weigh" ? Every time I'm asked! lol

I would be really happy if she could make 100 pounds disappear ?

Just for Fun:

What "College Fads" do you remember being popular when you were younger ?
Vaseline on the toilet seats and Saran Wrap over the toilet bowl (when stretched tight, you can't see it! lol).
