I thought he was an actor!

My goodness! He should get off the field and start doing movies!

(Move over Arnold.)

He is an actor! He was in X-Men Wolverine...and The Proposal with Sandra Bullock. But I would love to see him in something a bit more serious, like a sexy drama...think Basic Instinct. YUMMMMMMMY...

THAT'S what I thought. He looked familiar!

But then I got confused by someone's post so I googled his name.

And there's a Ryan Reynolds professional football player who was born Las Vegas!

What are the odds? We're talking about Ryan Reynolds and Vegas!

It's easy to confuse me!

Hopes - I had no idea who he was either...but I did see The Proposal so....
and Finster....Barbara Billingsley recently passed. She's the Jive interpreter....one of the funniest movies ever - along with Young Frankenstein and A Fish Called Wanda....

I have a question for you lot..

Do any of you volunteer? I used to know quite a few homeless folks on the streets in Hollywood, they would be at the Starbucks when I'd get my morning coffee and I struck up some friendships there, and would help out with a few bucks or a cup of coffee or pack of cigs and such when I could.

Being homeless in Hollywood sucks, but at least the weather's nice. I now live on the East Coast and I cannot imagine being homeless in this kind of weather. Does anybody volunteer at all? I never have but I think I'd like to, just wondering what people here might do, and how they got involved.

Finster, first of all, Good Morning!

Are there places like the Union Rescue Mission where you live? A lot of churches also serve meals either in a building or out on the street. I volunteered with various street-oriented outreach programs through my church.

Morning DewDrop!

I'm not sure, but I would say it's likely. Is that the one in downtown LA that is known for doing all of the food for Thanksgiving and Xmas? (I realize that's not all they do, but it's the most visible.)

I was just browsing and I found a place that does a winter rescue mission for homeless women that won't go to shelters or other city run programs. They are looking for people to prepare dinner at home and then deliver it to the facility. I just emailed the coordinator about that... hopefully that's something I can get involved in.

What kind of things did you do? I'm not at all a church going person so this is relatively new to me. (I don't mind if it's a church based program, I'm just not personally very religious).
