Okay - one more vegetable question. This sounds slightly pathetic.... I was just moving things that were brought home yesterday around in the fridge , and I asked my son regarding one bunch of greens, "what is that by the way?" - good thing he knows every thing grown on the farm. So it is kale. What do to with that? Anyone have a really good, relatively simple suggestion? There were a ton of recipes on the website to wade through.
I discovered kale chips last year, and OMG, they're so good!! Just roasted kale, with sea salt (be careful, you can oversalt easily).
I made mine just like that, simple with olive oil & salt, but I bet they'd be good with other spices. My guys really liked these, too.
OR, you can blanch the kale (tough stems removed), then saute it in sesame oil and garlic, and add a touch of soy sauce at the end.
I also toss kale into my smoothies - not too much, or it can end up too thick and "kale-y", but a good handful of leaves, and I can hardly tell it's in there.

Sooo I saw a Verizon man across the street and accosted him. He came over to look at my line and gave me his manager's number - he was totally disgusted that they hadn't sorted out my issue yet.
He said to tell her about the problems and she'll either send over someone to fix it properly, or expedite the FIOS hookup. Yay. I gave him a Pepsi.
