I always see these species when I swim in the Caribbean, and yes, I let all three of my children swim in those waters, including my 7 year old. Your juxtaposition of a careful approach to minimal dangers in the natural environment compared to the routine risks we take every day speaks volumes. Even a bathtub can be more dangerous than the circumstance depicted here.
