Nurse, lemon and Caribbean reef sharks are not aggressive sharks. It's more dangerous to drive your child in the family car every day, or to swim in the family pool.

That's it? She was in a controlled, shallow water swim area with an instructor and non-aggressive sharks?

I expected to see a 5-year old in a shark cage.

My niece went in a shark cage with Great Whites when she was a teenager. She says it was one of the greatest experiences of her life.

Husband and I did this a couple years ago and it was freakin' fantastic.... but there's no way I'd let BabyGirl do it.

I don't see any problems with this. They are in a controlled environment with non-aggressive sharks.

I think people have a tendancy to blow things way out of proportion.

The news headline should read: "Nation still scarred by the 1978 movie, Jaws. Grown adults go into panicked frenzy after viewing video of child swimming safely near non-aggressive shark species."

I forgot to answer the question. Yes, I would do this with my children.

I agree with the guy at the end of the article when he said he's more upset about no seat-belts on school busses...
