Op that is not normal. It sounds like your wife is a jealous nut case. It will be an absolute miracle if you make it through the next 10 years without getting a divorce. Five years would be surprising.

I couldn't even begin to understand why she gives a rip when your brother and his wife are expecting to have their baby. I would bet that they really don't care when yours is due. I mean sure your family and friends are all "congratulations" and all but in reality, it isn't their baby and they really don't give it much thought. Hell, I have trouble remember family and friends kids names.

My baby girl and my niece are 3 months apart...everyone was and is ecstatic that they are so close in age.
