And if this were Italy with the age of consent at 14?

He may be charged with breaking and entering, or with statutory rape if that occurred, but given today's political climate and that the perpetrator was black it's actually more likely that the father will be charged for defending his own home and family.

We live in an inverted world. The far-left likes to treat criminals as "victims" while honest and innocent people are treated as "callous oppressors". How dare people stand up for their homes and families!

In St. Louis a couple was charged with defending their own home from a mob that was threatening to kill them and burn their home down, and THEY had their means of defending themselves taken away. In New York they were knocking on Tucker Carlson's door in the middle of the night and threatening his family, they have since moved and even the New York Times has threatened to publish his new address. How insane is that?!

The point is that putting the blame on her as if she has the full faculties of an adult is outlandish. We're talking about a kid who did something dumb, vs a grown man who should have known better.

Right, the fourteen year old CHILD did something stupid and so she deserves to be molested by an adult. Got it.

Trust me, the black guy WILL be charged, lol. There's zero tolerance for trying to hurt kids. Doesn't matter how much the "woke" crowd may try to threw a tamper tantrum over it. And the Dad will be fine. No jury would convict him saving his kid from a statutory rape if it even went that far.

Legally, no, but that doesn't stop them from doing whatever their less developed brains think will be fun right this minute.

I hadn't seen this article posted here. Contains a little more information.

I still am curious, what did the dad think was going on here? Did he think he found a peer boyfriend - a boy about 16 years old - in his daughter's bedroom and intended to kill him for being there?

I think that will come out in this case - did he intend to murder his daughter's boyfriend, or did he somehow (who knows how) find out this was an adult, there in the dark? Did he think the man had broken in, and wasn't invited in?

I'd like to hear the answers to those questions. A man who believes he's found an intruder in his daughter's bedroom who has broken in and she's there terrified, vs. the other side of the possibility this is her boyfriend from school she invited in and they're both quite naughty.

A jury is supposed to set aside their emotions and evaluate a crime based on THE LAW ...not what YOU believe should influence a jury decision. If the father broke the law then the jury arrives at a guilty verdict. If he didn't break the law then they come up with a not guilty verdict. Thank God some of the posters and their nonsensical viewpoints on this thread will not be on that jury ...in fact, if polled before-hand and I were the judge, I would dismiss them from the jury in a heartbeat.
