Summersm: When is the ground breaking for this new Drexel dorm? I love it!
I am very bad with height (and you know how obsessed I am with height). Do you know how tall it is going to be? It looks like its LEED certified.

Not sure when the ground breaking will be. Probably relatively soon.

It will be 25 floors and 279 feet high

Also this looks to really start to create some good continuity between the Penn and Drexel campuses

Saw this in another sie thread

Look at the maps on page one

That new dorm looks fantastic and I really like the location - should play nice into the URBN Center to it's south, right across the street from some green space around the DAC and takes over some of the old unattractive legacy buildings down 34th street .... also should be close enough to Towers Hall (15 floors) & Millenium Hall (17 floors) that it shouldn't look completely out of place on that edge of campus

The Penn Southbank looks really interesting as well

There have also been studies/talks between the two universities on what drexel can do with the area around the railyards .... would be nice to really get something done over there, but so many obstacles and a lot of expense involved

Does anybody know when the Callowhill/Chinatown North plan will actually start making headway?
