Actually I have inside word that the Gallery will be re-tasked as a large Trolley station no longer retail (food court and a sunglass may still remain) and the escalators will take passengers to the level boarding areas. The new trolleys will run from C21 to the Convention center (a one seat ride though tokens only on this route). All other trolleys will remain the same

All the while keeping service going during the majority of the construction period?
The word "station" between "largest" and "renovation" got deleted somewhere in the editing process.

You're not that far along in years. The Market Street El reconstruction was completed in four years. On the other hand, I do believe that project ran behind schedule and over budget.

Thought this was some nice news to share. Philadelphia just won the most Knight Foundation grants of any other city in the US. The pop-up pool proposal sounds fantastic!

Knight Foundation awards 7 Philadelphia grants

"We were extremely impressed by the quality of ideas that came from Philadelphia," said Carol Coletta, Knight Foundation vice president for community and national initiatives. "It is clear that there are a lot of people in Philadelphia with good ideas who want to make their city better. We saw that in these applications."
